Hello friends,
Every now and again I’ll have some book news to share and today is one of those days. I’ve been working on my fourth book for around a year and today my publisher has put it up for pre-order, which is very exciting, so I wanted to tell you a bit about it.
But first, here is the cover and the blurb…
You are invited to a surprise joint hen-do to celebrate our two brides, Alex and Millie
Location: Remote Dartmoor Farmhouse
Don't forget to RSVP and remember, watch what you say...
As friends gather for a hen weekend, they are all smiles, but cannot hide the web of tension that bubbles beneath the surface.
The group was forever broken by the devastating loss of their childhood friend, Becca. The prettiest and most powerful of them all, her absence lies at the heart of this fractured friendship.
Now, decades later, someone wants to expose the truth about what happened, and will stop at nothing to reveal the secrets long since buried.
As a dark storm gathers out on the moors, dangerous secrets and accusations threaten to explode between the group.
Will they all survive the fall-out?
OUT MAY 2024.
I’ve been on a lot of hen-dos (ten in total!) over the last few years and always said I’d have to write a book about them one day, and so here it is. I’ve also learned an awful lot about what it takes to maintain tricky friendships in my 30s, and when to let things go. All of that is in this book and I really hope you enjoy it.
If you’ve never pre-ordered a book before, let me explain a little about how it helps authors. The goal for most authors is to be stocked widely in bookshops and, surprisingly, this is actually very difficult to make happen. Bookshops order in stock they think they can sell, and one way of them gauging this is how popular the book appears to be. If a book has a lot of pre-orders, they have confidence that the book will be widely sold and therefore order more copies.
So, if you’ve ever wondered about pre-ordering a book, please do! It helps us as authors massively and gives you a fun little postal surprise on release day (I regularly forget I’ve pre-ordered a book until it lands on my doormat and it’s always a very welcome surprise).
If you aren’t in a position to buy the book but would like to help me spread the word, please do share the cover reveal on social media which is also a huge help! You can download the image from this post or share my post from Instagram or Twitter.
That’s enough from me for now.
Ta’ta.
